General customer questions.

Where can I buy SOLON modules?

There are several options available. We recommend that you contact us directly so that we can learn about your project. We can either plan and implement the project ourselves or forward it to one of our specialist partners, depending on the type and scope of the project. In either case, we will find the best solution for you!

Who performs the installation of SOLON modules?

Again, there are several options available. Usually we source the modules for your power plant directly at SOLON, and we employ professionals who can install your power plant. When one of our specialist partners is better equipped to install your system, we will hand over the project to this partner already during the planning phase. You will always get everything, from planning to construction and monitoring, from one source.

What do SOLON products cost?

Each project is handled individually. A general price list is therefore not realistic. However, we will gladly provide you with an offer that is adapted to your needs. Why not arrange a personal discussion? Simply contact us. We are looking forward to meeting you!

What delivery times can I expect?

SOLON is able to respond to your needs very quickly. However, our delivery times are also determined by the demand and the contract situations of our suppliers. When the requested product is in stock, we will obviously deliver it immediately.

Does SOLON also produce modules according to individual customer requirements?

Naturally. SOLON is highly competent with regard to individual customer requests: our broad product range of cells allows us to satisfy most requests directly from our standard program.
Requirements that cannot be satisfied from our broad product range pose no problem: our high levels of technical competence and flexibility allow us to produce special solutions at any time. To keep costs down, we recommended considering a sufficiently large volume.

What types of solar cells are used in the modules?

Only top-quality poly- and mono-crystalline cells are used for SOLON modules. We only source from specially selected manufacturers to ensure constant quality at all times.

Where are the SOLON modules produced?

Our modules are mainly made in Germany. Other production sites are in Italy and the USA.

Does SOLON offer insurance against weather damage, etc.?

SOLON offers SOLON all-risks insurance for selected markets - free of charge. It insures your PV system against a variety of damage events for a period of 2 years. We offer you insurance at favorable rates so that you can continue providing this excellent protection for your SOLON system once the two years have expired.

What requirements does my roof have to fulfill to carry SOLON modules?

In Germany, most roofs are suitable for PV systems. Your roof should not be in the shade and must be in good condition, i.e. it should not need renovating in the next 20 years. The roof must be evaluated by a structural engineer for safety reasons.

Which orientation (south, east, west) is best?

In general, the best yield is achieved when your roof is oriented towards the south. Orientation towards the south-west or south-east is nearly as good. However, orientation towards the east and west may also provide attractive returns, depending on the location of your house and the pitch of the roof.

Do modules have to be serviced or maintained?

SOLON modules do not need maintenance. However, they should be cleaned between once in 5 years and twice a year, depending on the pollution level, to produce optimum yield.

Can the modules be recycled?

SOLON is fighting for ecological progress: all SOLON modules can be recycled. We will gladly take back our old modules. Find more information here.
