General customer questions:
Where can I buy SOLON modules?
There are several options available. We recommend that you contact us directly so that we can learn about your project. We can either plan and implement the project ourselves or forward it to one of our specialist partners, depending on the type and scope of the project. In either case, we will find the best solution for you!
Who performs the installation of SOLON modules?
Again, there are several options available. Usually we source the modules for your power plant directly at SOLON, and we employ professionals who can install your power plant. When one of our specialist partners is better equipped to install your system, we will hand over the project to this partner during the planning phase. You will always get everything, from planning to construction and monitoring, from one source.
What do SOLON products cost?
Each project is handled individually, therefore there is no standard price list. However, we will gladly provide you with an offer that is adapted to your needs. Why not arrange a personal discussion? Simply contact us. We are looking forward to meeting you!
What delivery times can I expect?
SOLON is able to respond to your needs very quickly. However, our delivery times are also determined by the demand and the contract situations of our suppliers. When the requested product is in stock, we will obviously deliver it immediately.
What types of solar cells are used in the modules?
Only top-quality poly- and monocrystalline cells are used for SOLON modules. We only source from selected manufacturers to ensure consistent quality at all times.
Where are the SOLON modules produced?
For the North American market, SOLON modules are manufactured in our Tucson, AZ production facility. We also have production sites in Germany and Italy to serve European markets.
What requirements does my roof have to fulfill to carry SOLON modules?
Most roofs are suitable for PV systems. Your roof should not be in the shade and must be in good condition, i.e. it should not need renovating in the next 20 years. The roof must be evaluated by a structural engineer for safety reasons.
Which orientation (south, east, west) is best?
In general, the best yield is achieved when your roof is oriented toward the south. Orientation toward the south-west or south-east is nearly as good. However, orientation toward the east and west may also provide attractive returns, depending on the location of your house and the pitch of the roof.
Do modules have to be serviced or maintained?
SOLON modules need minimal maintenance. We recommend cleaning the modules once a year for the first 5 years, and twice a year for the remaining life of the modules, depending on the air quality and regional environmental factors, to produce optimum yield.
