Deer Valley Unified School District

Following the successful installation of 1 MW system on the Deer Valley Highschool, SOLON installed 3.5 MW on the roofs of five schools in the Deer Valley Unified School District.

Paradise Valley Unified School District

Offsetting the power of 27% of the power used by schools in the district, the Paradise Valley project -- built across the rooftops of four facilities produces 2.7 MW of power.

The largest part of the project, a 973-kilowatt system, was placed on Shadow Mountain High School. North Canyon High School got 940 kilowatts, Pinnacle High School 462 kilowatts, and Horizon High School 288 kilowatts. Under a solar service agreement (SSA), the school district avoids any up-front system purchase cost by purchasing the power at a fixed rate, providing a hedge against future electricity rate increases.
