Utilizing 60 of SOLON's single-axis trackers, the 10MW plant features over 40,000 utility-scale solar panels and integrates SOLON's SCADA system to monitor and control the performance of the system.

SOLON designed and constructed the solar array and will continue to handle operations, monitoring and maintenance of the system.  Duke Energy Renewables, part of Duke Energy's Commercial Businesses, purchased the project from SOLON in 2012 and will sell all of the power generated from the system  to UniSource Energy Services (UES) through a 20-year PPA.

Powered by SOLON systems and modules, the power plant will provide a faster, more cost-effective way for UES to integrate solar power into its renewable energy portfolio for Kingman residents. UES will own and operate the system on six acres owned by the Kingman Unified School District (KUSD) behind La Senita Elementary School. It will be the largest single physical photovoltaic (PV) system on school property in the state of Arizona.  

Cotton Center Solar Plant

Covering 145 acres, the Cotton Center Solar Plant in Gila Bend, Arizona provides 21 MW of power for customers of utility, Arizona Public Service. The project is to date the largest in SOLON's history.

Bringing solar power to Tucson residents, SOLON completed this turnkey, single-axis tracking system in 2010 for the Tucson Electric Power Company's Bright Tucson Community Solar Program. SOLON provided the solar modules, design, engineering and construction of this system. 

Pima County Wastewater Reclamation Facility

SOLON completed this turnkey, single-axis tracking system in 2010 for Pima County's Wastewater Reclamation facility. SOLON provided the solar modules, design, engineering and construction of this system, as well as selling electricity at a fixed rate through a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).

TEP Prairie Fire Solar Project

The fixed-tilt system was designed and constructed by SOLON.  Spanning 28 acres, the 5MW system is composed of more than 17,000 solar panels.  Tucson Electric Power (TEP) will own and operate the solar production facility.

Gila Bend Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Facility

This sytem is expected to offset the energy usage of the water treatment facility by 86 percent, which will save money for the town of Gila Bend through reduced utility bills.

Located at TRICO’s headquarters in Marana, AZ, the 1.5 acre solar power plant provides allows TRICO to purchase energy output of this system in quarter, half and full-panel increments.

Five Points Solar Station

The 17.7 MW dc Five Points Solar Station in Fresno County, California produces energy for Pacific Gas & Electric which supplies natural gas and electric service to approximately 15 million people in Northern and Central California.  The Five Points project is part of PG&E’s 250-MW Utility Owned Generation (UOG) PV Program, a five-year plan for the construction of utility-owned solar PV stations.

Boulder Colorado Wastewater Treatment Facility

This ground mounted solar power plant made use of otherwise un-developable land at the Boulder Wastewater Treatment Plant, producing clean, renewable energy to help control energy costs, especially during peak hours.

Vaca-Dixon Solar Pilot Project

This utility-scale solar power plant was the pilot project for Pacific Gas and Electric's expanding portfolio of renewable energy alternatives, helping meet California's growing power demands. PG&E awarded SOLON its "Generation Supplier of the Year" award in 2010 for the construction of the system.

Roof mount systems and shade structures reduce electricity loads while providing very efficient utilization of space.
