Under Construction: Kingman, Arizona, U.S.A
Black Mountain Generating Station
- Capacity: 10 MW dc
- Product: SOLON Single-Axis Tracker
Built under a 20-year PPA for UniSource Energy Services (UES), the Black Mountain Generating Station will allow the utility to provide renewable power to its customers without the upfront cost of the system installation.
Solon will finance, design, construct and maintain the system while UES purchases the electricity produced by the plant. Utilizing 60 of Solon’s single-axis trackers, the 10MW plant will feature over 40,000 utility solar modules and integrate Solon’s SCADA system to monitor and control the performance of the system.
Under Construction: Kingman, Arizona, U.S.A
La Senita Elementary School
- Capacity: 1.22 MW dc
- Product: SOLON Single-Axis Tracker
Powered by SOLON systems and modules, the power plant will provide a faster, more cost-effective way for UES to integrate solar power into its renewable energy portfolio for Kingman residents. UES will own and operate the system on six acres owned by the Kingman Unified School District (KUSD) behind La Senita Elementary School. It will be the largest single physical photovoltaic (PV) system on school property in the state of Arizona.
Gila Bend, Arizona, U.S.A

Pima County Wastewater Reclamation Facility
- Capacity: 1.07 MWp
- Product: SOLON Single Axis
SOLON completed this turnkey, single-axis tracking system in 2010 for Pima County's Wastewater Reclamation facility. SOLON provided the solar modules, design, engineering and construction of this system, as well as selling electricity at a fixed rate through a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
Hegnenbach, Germany
- Capacity: 1.86 MWp
- Product: SOLON Single Axis
In 2009, SOLON introduced another solution for large-scale PV power plans: SOLON Single Axis, a complete single-axis tracking solution. The first representative pilot project was built in Bavaria and other projects are currently in progress.
Fixed-Tilt
The reduced spatial requirements of a fixed-tilt PV system allow for efficient use of space.
Tucson, AZ, U.S.A
Science & Tech Park II
- Capacity: 5 MW dc
- System: SOLON Andromeda: Fixed-tilt
SOLON is currently the EPC provider for 5 MW system for Tucson Electric Power in Tucson.

Five Points Solar Station
- Capacity: 17.7 MW dc
- Product: SOLON Andromeda: Mira, Fixed-tilt
The 17.7 MW dc Five Points Solar Station in Fresno County, California produces energy for Pacific Gas & Electric which supplies natural gas and electric service to approximately 15 million people in Northern and Central California. The Five Points project is part of PG&E’s 250-MW Utility Owned Generation (UOG) PV Program, a five-year plan for the construction of utility-owned solar PV stations.
Boulder, Colorado, U.S.A.
Boulder Colorado Wastewater Treatment Facility
- Capacity: 1 MWp
- Product: SOLON Fixed Tilt
This ground mounted solar power plant made use of otherwise un-developable land at the Boulder Wastewater Treatment Plant, producing clean, renewable energy to help control energy costs, especially during peak hours.
Vacaville, California, U.S.A.
Vaca-Dixon Solar Pilot Project
- Capacity: 2.6 MW dc
- Product: SOLON Andromeda: Fixed Tilt
This utility-scale solar power plant was the pilot project for Pacific Gas and Electric's expanding portfolio of renewable energy alternatives, helping meet California's growing power demands. PG&E awarded SOLON its
"Generation Supplier of the Year" award in 2010 for the construction of the system.
Shade Structures
Shade structures shave peak electricity loads while providing very efficient utilization of space on and around existing and newly covered structures.
Mountain View, California, U.S.A.
Mountain View Photovoltaic Project
- Capacity: 111 kW dc
- Product: SOLON Shade Structure
This solar power plant in Mountain View offers an intelligent dual use of a surface that has already been sealed, combining the benefits of solar electricity generation with weather-proofing.
Sulphur Springs, Arizona, U.S.A.
Sulpher Springs Electric Co-op Shade Structures
- Capacity: 1.0 MWp
